Specializing in Grief and Perinatal Mental Health

The loss of a loved one is an incredibly difficult experience. It comes with intense emotions including denial, sadness, anger, confusion, and when these emotions are shifting rapidly, which happens in grief, you can feel very vulnerable and in need of support.

The perinatal period– during pregnancy and postpartum – can also come with a mix of emotions – happiness, excitement, anticipation as well as challenging feelings of anxiety, depression, and loss.

The challenging emotions of anxiety or depression are not usually expected and many women struggle alone, afraid to ask for help.

In my practice, I specialize in these two areas. I work with adults who are experiencing grief due to the loss of a loved one (adult or child) as well as women who are experiencing challenging emotions while being pregnant or during the postpartum period. I believe in highlighting the strengths these individuals possess and guiding them through the recovery process.

My approach is person-centered psychotherapy provided in an environment that is supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental.
